Broccoli by the morphological features is similar to a cauliflower, from which one differs by strongest growth, formation of leaves, formation and color of inflorescence. The main inflorescence consists from expressed and formed buds. For the use, except for main inflorescence, are intended lateral inflorescences, which have grown on suckers, and thick, pulpy stalk.

Broccoli is valuable vegetable, which consist of soda salt, potassium, calcium, iron, phosphorus, chlorine, Carotinum, vitamins: B1, B2, C and acids: nicotinic, pantothenic and folic.
